New to Ordinal Inscriptions?
Although NFT token tech has been around for a few years now, inscribing data onto the BTC blockchain is new. Having only been discovered in 2023, the technology for this new functionality is expanding every day. Data including artwork, historical information and other types of files inscribed onto the chain are known as Ordinals, Ordinal Inscriptions, or NFT’s on the BTC Blockchain. This tech exploits an area in bitcoin code that allows data to be attached to Bitcoin. Think of it as drawing a picture on a penny. Inscriptions are digital pictures, drawn on digital money.
